We didn't find any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, correct? Most of you out there consider this an old issue. Surely most Americans understand that Saddam had no WMD.
Think again.
The Harris Poll recently asked Americans if the following statement was true or false:
"Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when the U.S. invaded."
50% of Americans said the statement was true! 50% of Americans think Saddam had WMD.
This is, of course, despite the fact that no WMD were ever found, and the Bush administration's own inspectors concluded and publicly stated that Saddam had destroyed his WMD arsenal.
How could 50% of the American public think Saddam had WMD?
The culprit: Fox News and its fellow travelers.
I will link Fox directly to this shameful statistic of a 50% delusional nation.
We'll hear the whole gang of miscreants and liars: O'Reilly, Hannity, Brit Hume and John Gibson, with Newt Gingrich, Ann Coulter and Rush aiding and abetting, each with their own inimitable style.
For those who aren't familiar with podcasts (like me until recently!), podcasts are a series of mp3 audio files that you download to your computer or portable music device (iPod or other) and then can listen to whenever you want.
You don't need an iPod to listen to podcasts.
Podcast software like iTunes will automatically check a podcast at intervals you specify, and download any new installments.
iTunes is free and very easy to use. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
In iTunes, if you want to subscribe to my podcast, just click on Advanced at the top right, then choose Subscribe to Podcast, and paste in the URL http://feeds.feedburner.com/blasttheright
That's the URL to use for other podcast-friendly software programs as well.
Alternatively, you can just manually download new episodes from my podcast home page as they become available. Here is a link to my podcast's home page: http://www.therationalradical.com/podcast.html
Enjoy!!
